LG interactive refrigerator.jpgWho said the icebox is just a place to store food & beverages?  Well, it certainly wasn’t LG Electronics.  The world’s first interactive frig is to debut next month in the US.  The LG refrigerator is connected to a satellite and provides real-time weather forecasts and with its 38cm TFT LCD TV screen it can also be used as a frame for digital photos or a board to write digital memos.

The side-by-side fridge has the capacity to display up to 50 preloaded cooking recipes on the TV screen. A smaller, 10cm LCD screen features an interactive polar bear that reports the temperature, isn’t that cute.  Did Coke have anything to do with that?  They didn’t forget anything with this frig:  it can be connected to a DVD player, USB drive, TV or FM radio.  I think it’s high time we all had an interactive frig.  Can I have mine in pink & can it say ‘You’re beautiful’ every time I pass by?  Cost, a cool $3500.
