Stores Drop Vera Wang Lavender Label

Vera Wang’s mid-range clothing line Lavender might be in trouble.  Despite the recession, Wang’s high-end Vera Wang line is doing quite well, along with the more reasonably priced Simply Vera line, but Lavender is actually being dropped by stores.

Bergdorf Goodman & Saks Fifth Avenue have dropped the Lavender line’s spring collection and have gone so far as reduce the number of their stores that carry the line of dresses and casual wear.

As the retail world decides which brands are going to survive, Vera might need to rethink her Lavender line.
