Aphrodite prostitute shoes.jpg Are you saying to yourself, “Safety Aphrodite platform shoes for sex workers & prostitutes? What the heck is she talking about?” There is a new kid in town to protect our local sex workers & prostitutes, the prototype Aphrodite platform shoe.

The shoes will have a built-in alarm system, which emits a piercing noise to scare off attackers; a GPS receiver; an LCD screen with video & scrolling print; an emergency button that relays the worker’s location & a silent alarm signal to public emergency services. If there problems with law enforcement, the shoes will send a signal to sex workers’ rights groups.

Wow. And I thought my shoes were fancy. Sadly, this is only a prototype and I can’t buy a pair in pink immediately. Not that I walk the streets, but it seems pretty fun to have shoes with GPS and silent alarms, don’t you think?

Hey I am a stripper in Las Vegas, I,ve been dancing for six years. Girl you can make some money out here! I totally love the concept, and I dont know if you are marketing to dancers(big big big money) and prostitutes or just the latter, the only thing is that alot of dancers are not prostitutes and it feels a little uncomfortable to buy or to go for the name of the shoe. When people advertise for you they want to feel comfortable saying the name. Might also try to put a ’secret’ pocket in these, so a woman can hide a few bucks – for like taxi money, if she were to get stranded, or maybe her I.D. (since alot of times, they have no pockets in those tight dresses.
