Princess Mariana: $1 Per Second Luxury Yacht

With gas the way it has been lately, maybe you’ve been figuring the cost per second of travelling to work. Ever reach the high figure of $1 per second? Probably not, unless you were sporting the Princess Mariana yacht.
One of the most impressive luxury yachts ever to grace the waters, the Princess Mariana was launched back in 2003 and then refurbished in 2006 for charters. Now you too can take the reigns of this 258-foot ship that CNNMoney has called the most desirable charter.
What will it cost you? Well, say around, $606,500 per week, which given some math skills, comes out to roughly $1 per second. But you will be wowed by the steep price with a more than spacious master stateroom, 13-seat cinema, helipad for those late night runs, golf driving range, as well as a deluxe pool. You apparently will want for nothing on the Princess Mariana, except maybe a thicker wallet.

For those who are interested, the Princess Mariana is presently docked at Marina Del Rey in Southern California. It has been here for at least 2 weeks and I’m not sure how much longer it will be here.

Who owns it? Is it private or charter? I thought a Mexican money launderer owned it?

Re-Who owns her: Carlos Peralta Quintero (who’s also the president of Mexican cellular phone company Iusacell and the owner of the Mexico City Tigres baseball team). You can rent her for a dollar/second. If he does laundry,… it shows as the vessel is very clean.
They seem like nice people just trying to enjoy what they have.
The had a small diesel spill during a fueling operation this morning but I do not think that it will slow these people down.

She was moored at Imperia (Northern Italy) on Tuesday (14/7/09).
The 650,00 euro price per week is only the start, you have to deposit 1/3 of the cost of the ship $92m, before the charter begins, from this is deducted fuel, food moorage etc, the staff (26) are expected to be paid $125,000 a week in tips, cash is prefered.
