Tied of having to worry about who has your wallet?  Well then, the good people at Dunhill have your back, quite literally.

Dunhill’s new Biometric Wallet is apparently one of the safest wallets in the world, that they’re going so far as to dub it “virtually indestructible.”

The only way that you can open this $800 luxury wallet is by scanning your fingerprint on the strip located on the outside of the Biometric Wallet.

It is also equipped with Bluetooth, which allows the user to link the wallet with their mobile phone. The idea being that if the wallet is even mere feet away from you, your mobile phone can set off an alarm. Perfect for when you’ve just been pick-pocketed.

The wallet itself is made of a carbon fiber shell, lined with genuine leather and equipped with a stainless steel money clip.

Tiffany & Co’s Sunny Forecast

March 23, 2011 | Posted by bLavish as Jewelry at 4:45 pm | Comments off

Analysts often look to the luxury market to make predictions about the state of the world economy. Ififfany & Co’s forecasting is any indication, we can all look forward to a gradual, but sure, ease to the recession. Tiffany reported increased earnings this year and their stock is up. Not only that, but the company is branching out within their Asian and South American markets.

A lot of companies may be forced to lower their earnings expectations due to the tragic events in Japan, but Tiffany says that they will be able to earn the money they expected to earn this year in Japan in China and Brazil instead. Tiffany itself is predicting even higher earnings for themselves than Wall Street. Of course, none of these things may come to pass. But if they do, it will be a sure sign that financial stability is beginning to poke its head through the world economy.

Luxury cruise Line Crystal Cruises Goes All-Inclusive

March 23, 2011 | Posted by bLavish as Tid Bits & News at 8:18 am | Comments off

Beginning spring 2012, luxury cruise line Crystal Cruises will be going boldly where few cruise lines have gone before, all-inclusive.

Starting next year open bars will be serving cruisers anything their heart desires and crew gratuities will be included in cruise fares.  The all-inclusive option is available on both the 922-passenger Crystal Symphony and 1,070-passenger Crystal Serenity.

“We’re looking to ease the [financial] transaction with guests,” spokeswoman Mimi Weisband reveals.

“By adding open bars and complimentary wines at dinner and the ability to order (alcohol) in your staterooms as well, there’s an ease with that. And by adding the gratuity, it’s just a seamless experience. People can literally go on a cruise and not pay an additional charge.”

Sounds like a perfect dream to us, having to constantly be signing credit card slips becomes so droll!

The Ultimate In Cartoon Luxury: Hello Kitty House

March 22, 2011 | Posted by bLavish as Estate of the Day at 5:43 pm | Comments off

I love luxury when it’s truly luxurious, but I have to admit that I might love it more when it’s ridiculous. And while I would never criticize anyone’s desire to build their dream home, this one is a bit over-the-top. This house, located in Shanghai, is called the Hello Kitty Villa. Fans of the quirky Japanese cartoon will immediately recognize the aesthetic, but for those not in the know, it must look truly bizarre.

It’s not just the outside of the home that’s decorated in this think pink style. The whole interior of the house is decorated in shades of Hello Kitty pink, from the furnishings to the window treatments. All the furniture was custom-made to go into the home, and is embellished with plushy bows. Seriously, this is the most insanely pink thing I’ve ever seen.

Luckily, it’s not actually a home. That is, no one seems to live there. But even though it went up in 2009, no one seems to know exactly what purpose, if any, the building serves. Tourist guides have it listed as both a hotel and as a museum, and it could also be both. If anyone has any relevant info about this fantastic bit of frippery, please let us know.

Horn iPod Dock By Phonofone

March 21, 2011 | Posted by bLavish as iPod at 5:55 pm | Comments off

There are literally thousands of options out there when it comes to iPod docks. They range from the purely practical to the totally decorative, but personally, I want something that combines the best of both worlds. Like these gorgeous Horn speakers by Phonofone, which were designed by Korean architect Shi-hyung Jeon.

The horn-shaped shell is constructed of HI-MACS solid surface, a brand new material that is completely seamless and non-porous. This not only contributes to its sleek design, but also makes for enhanced acoustics. The curved noise allows less distortion, and the output is set at 25W. They aren’t the most powerful speakers out there, but their innovative design will make up for that, audio-wise.

Besides all the complicated and I’m sure very useful technological advancements that these speakers represent, they are completely gorgeous, and that’s what makes me really want them. The price, unfortunately, has not yet been released, but since it’s designed for audiophiles, my guess it won’t be cheap.

My how we must love sparkly things, huh?  Just out from Linea Pro comes the icing on the cake for flat iron lovers, the all new and truly luxurious Linea Pro Swarovski Crystal C2 Flat Iron, with a price tag of $850.

Because Linea is the only company in the world at large that has rights to use Swarovski crystals on flat irons, the company has a monopoly on the market and can certainly charge accordingly.

The flat iron itself features extra long titanium plates, a PTFC heater (originally created by NASA), tourmaline-infused ceramic, the world’s first digital cord temp control with auto shut-off, and Exclusive Nano-Silver that kills 99.9% of bacteria.

Eco-Friendly Ark Angel LSV Yacht

March 19, 2011 | Posted by bLavish as Luxury Yachts at 6:00 pm | Comments off

Luxury cruising has just been taken to a whole new, eco-friendly level. Richard Sauter of Sauter Carbon Offset Design recently released the Supernova solar hybrid megayacht, the Ocean Empire LSV, an eco-luxury yacht, and the Atlantic Sea Hawk, a zero carbon emissions 18-cabin cruiser. Now they’ve released the Ark Angel LSV, a carbon neutral megayacht that reduces fuel emissions 50 to 100 percent.

The 78 meter yacht is meant to be not only more environmentally-friendly than others in its class, but also faster. Richard Sauter says, “I consider the Ark Angel the Champion of Green Power not because she can do 28 knots and cruise for 5,000 nautical miles Carbon Neutral, but because in leading the campaign to responsible yachting, she is challenging all comers.”

Solar Diety Watches By Frederic Jouvenot

March 19, 2011 | Posted by bLavish as Timepieces at 12:50 pm | Comments off

I’ve never been a big watch connoisseur. I’m more likely to go for sleek, contemporary watches that are less expensive than luxury timepieces. But this amazing collection by Frederic Jouvenot combines classic and contemporary in a genius way that will appeal to a wide variety of tastes.

The Suriya, Ameratsu, and Helios are all named after sun-centric divinities. The design pays homage to these gods of the sun by placing a sun design front and center on the timepiece. Each design features a different sunburst and color scheme. The Suriya is the women’s design, and it boasts a flower motif and row of white diamonds. The Helios is black titanium, and the Ameratsu is made of polished steel.

Each of the solar diety timepieces has its own unique look and feel that honors the diety it represents.

The prestigious timepiece makers Bell & Ross collaborated with with Shaw Harley-Davidson in London to create this stunning Nascafe racer. The center console has a custom Bell & Ross Carbon 01 timepiece that will serve as both a clock and a race timer. But it’s not just the timepiece that is luxurious and unique. The body of the bike is based on H-D’s classic FXSTB Softail Nightrain. Notice the gorgeously knotted muffler system and the bike’s custom pain job in anodised blue, carbon, and matte black.

The Nascafe made its debut at London’s International Custom Bike Show. Although there is only just this one model, it will be exhibited at several other European motorcycle shows this year. The Nascafe is a serious bike for a serious collector.
