Eva Longoria & Tony Parker Gets $2 Million for Wedding Photos

You know, it must be nice to not only get married, but basically get paid for doing it as well.  Actress Eva Longoria & basketball star fiance Tony Parker will be receiving $2 million from OK! magazine for exclusive coverage of their upcoming wedding.

Longoria & Parker will be tying the knot Friday at a 17th century French castle just outside of Paris, and it looks like they won’t have to spend a dime!

Las Vegas Strip to See New Echelon Addition

Sin city is about to give birth to a new kid in town.  The Las Vegas strip will be hosting a new addition to its family, Echelon.

The new kid will be located at the hot north end of the Strip & will be another luxury pleasure palace for those that can afford it.  Echelon is the creation of Boyd Gaming, a veteran of Las Vegas.  While construction on the development will begin soon, Echelon does not expect to open its doors for another three years & $4.8 billion.

The Grape Escape Wine Event

Summer’s all about wine events & this year is no exception.  This weekend pack up & head to Sacramento for this year’s Grape Escape Wine Event held at Raley Field.

Musician Michael McDonald (who?) is slated to entertain all as well as 37 local wineries.  Tickets for the winey event starts at $50, but if you wanna do it up VIP style, you’re look at around $425.

Ford Ready to Sell Premiere Automotive Group?

Rumors abound that the Ford Motor Company has already started shopping around for buyers for their Premiere Automotive Group.

Ford’s luxury car group features Land Rover, Volvo, Jaguar & formerly Aston Martin.  It’s no really big surprise that the car company is trying to find a buyer since the company needs to sell, sell, sell to even stay in business.

So, I know you were going to invest in a Volvo later this year, but what about the whole Premiere Automotive Group?

Richard Branson Getting Into Private Jet Business

Virgin Airways’ Richard Branson has more on his mind that the space tourism market, he’s recently announced that he has serious plans to get involved with the private jet business.

Branson’s project will connect sellers of flight time on private planes with eager beaver buyers who are willing to shell out the dough.  What the basic idea is that many private jets have empty legs when they fly home after dropping clients off, so why not try to get that empty time booked & get paid for it as well.  That Branson, he’s always thinking….

Condé Nast has teamed up with the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority to launch The World of Luxury.  The newest supplement will focus on top-class living while spotlighting some of the best luxury has to offer around the globe.  Finally, something I can afford- a luxury magazine subscription!

England’s Cutty Sark Damaged By Fire

Well, it’s a sad tourist day for England, as one of its most popular Greenwhich attractions has been ravaged by fire.

The Cutty Sark, considered one of the more important ships in the world, was engulfed in flames & has caused substantial damage to the world’s last remaining tea clippers.

Sadly, the Cutty Sark had been undergoing a 50 million renovation when residents of southeast London, where the 19th century clipper has been docked since the 1950s, heard an explosion.

Police are atill examining the cause of the fire & whether arson was involved.  Poor ole Cutty.

Now that Elizabeth Taylor’s House of Taylor has broken the ground for newbies on the jewelry front, veteran actress Lauren Bacall is ready to take up her own line.

Bacall has partnered with the Weinman Brothers & will be coming out with her own jewelry line.  The new collection will simply be named, Bacall.

The next time you’re sitting around & wondering just how much it would be to have Jennifer Lopez sing at your birthday party, you will now have an answer ready- around $2 million!

35-year-old Russian billionaire Andrei Melnichenko paid J.Lo a reported $2 million to sing at his wife, former model Aleksandra Nikolic Melnichenko’s, birthday party.

Melnichenko paid out $1.2 million for the 40-minute performance, and $80,000 to fly Jen & staff from the States to the UK.

What a party that would have been!

Lil Jon, rapper at large, has taken bling to a whole ‘nother level.

The Guinness Book of World Records has certified the necklace shown as the largest diamond pendant ever.  The icy pendant “Crunk Aint Dead” measures 7.5 inches tall, six inches wide, and weighs close to 12 pounds thanks to the 73 carats of diamonds.

I feel like we can all be a little bit prouder of Jon today…
