Well, we hate to bring you bad news on a Monday, but we do have to keep you abreast of the luxury news no don’t we?
So baseball player turned restaurateur Steve Finley is sadly having to sell of the BRG Restaurant Group after filing bankruptcy. BRG is the company that owned Finley’s upscale Flight Restaurant in San Diego. The business started having problems last year when he handed out paychecks that bounced, oops.
Finley is blaming bad management and a poor economy on the bankruptcy liquidation, but either way, we’re sad that a dream has failed.

After many complaints, Walt Disney World is finally listening. Now there will be at least one place that kids aren’t allowed to yell, scream, tantrum or play nice at.
Victoria & Albert’s, an upscale restaurant located in the Grand Floridian Resort, is the only theme park’s eatery with an AAA five-diamond rating and which is now banning children under 10 years of age. Hooray! No more foul smelling diapers over filet mignons!
The big decision by Disney came about after surveys showed diners were looking for more of an adult experience. And with prices starting at around $125 per person, I’m going to have to stand by that decision. Go Disney.

Located across the street from Hummingbird Centre in Toronto is a little known paradise for the taste buds. The Acqua restaurant will take your tongue from Italy to the Mediterranean and you don’t even have to leave your chair.
Robert Buchanan, chef & owner, sets the stage with inviting decor, matchless ambience and an impressive mahogany bar ready to take your order. The menu for both lunch and dinner is complimented by an extensive wine collection of more than 250 vintages.

Enjoy your meal, but never leave without trying dessert, particularly the White & Dark Chocolate temptress, a tower filled with desires and mousse.
Reservations are not necessary, but recommended.
Enjoy!
