Marshall Blostein, owner of Audio Fidelity, does not want classic rock to disappear. He formed the company in the 70′s in order to preserve America’s best music for all of time. The company reissues classic albums. And now they reissue them in nothing less than 24 karat gold.

This isn’t just for looks. Not only are these CDs actually playable, but they’re supposed to ensure higher listening quality. Something about the gold coating versus traditional digital materials makes them sound better. They’re also meant to last longer than traditional CDs.

Audio Fidelity is putting out all the hitmakers, including Bad Company, The Rolling Stones, and Carly Simon. Each CD will be individually numbered and sold in high end retail outlets.

Say hello to the 7’4″ Kuhn-Bösendorfer baby grand piano. A beautiful ebony black, this piano and matching bench are inset with 100,000 hand-cut jewels arranged into diamond patterns.

This particular Kuhn has been eighteen months in the making as a collaboration between Vienna’s L. Bösendorfer Klavierfabrik GmbH and John Kuhn, the world’s most infamous glass sculptor.

Only question left is who is going to make this grand baby sing.

So you’re in the market for a grand piano, but your one of those folks who like the extraordinary, something different. I have just the piano for you.

You are looking at German designer Professor Luigi’s Schimmel’s K 208 Pegasus Oval Art Grand Piano. She’s a beauty, eh? Completely handcrafted, the K 208 Pegasus has been designed with an ergonomically curved keyboard, over 200 strings under a combined tension of 176,520 newtons & a key assembly comprised of 10,000 pieces. Not too shabby, in other words.

Cost, $110,000. Now all you have to do is find space in that Rio penthouse.
