With gas the way it has been lately, maybe you’ve been figuring the cost per second of travelling to work.  Ever reach the high figure of $1 per second?  Probably not, unless you were sporting the Princess Mariana yacht.

One of the most impressive luxury yachts ever to grace the waters, the Princess Mariana was launched back in 2003 and then refurbished in 2006 for charters.  Now you too can take the reigns of this 258-foot ship that CNNMoney has called the most desirable charter.

What will it cost you?  Well, say around, $606,500 per week, which given some math skills, comes out to roughly $1 per second.  But you will be wowed by the steep price with a more than spacious master stateroom, 13-seat cinema, helipad for those late night runs, golf driving range, as well as a deluxe pool.  You apparently will want for nothing on the Princess Mariana, except maybe a thicker wallet.

Marco? Polo.

MarcoPolo-454.jpgI was wondering about luxist.com today and I couldn’t help but notice this sleek, beautiful specimen of a boat. This Benetti & Fincantieri creation is amazing. The Marco Polo will add grace to any body of water she touches. Here is what they had to say at Luxist.

“I’m not sure what to think. I just can’t see this boat gliding into Port Hercule in Monaco. But, that is probably the shock level Benetti and Fincantieri want to create with their new design for a 102 meter yacht. With retro features meshed with super-futuristic design, this yacht is sure to garner plenty of looks. The owner’s deck is complete with personal indoor swimming pool over looking the stern. Designed to accommodate 28 passengers and 53 crew, this clearly breaches the Mega-yacht threshold. My favorite feature is the lower deck “Beach Club” with hull doors that fold out to the water level and serve as a base for water toys and tenders. I think it looks like a gigantic bug, but undoubtedly a design that will keep us talking for years to come.”

A bug, I’m not so sure. The boat, if I can even call her that, affirms the romance of the oceans with her silken design and I can’t wait until someone asks me aboard.
