The Water Totter

February 27, 2011 | Posted by bLavish as Outdoor Fun at 11:13 pm | Comments off

If you have a giant pool and have been looking for the kind of water toy that will keep several family’s worth of children entertained for hours, well, you’re in luck. The Water Totter is an inflatable rocking water toy and slide in one. It can accommodate up to ten people at a time. When turned upright, the Water Totter is a giant teeter totter. People on either side of the Totter hold on to the handles and use their body weight to rock it back and forth.

If that doesn’t sound like enough fun, you can flip the Totter over to transform it into a six-foot tall double water slide! The 1,000 dernier polyester material is durable and is coated in two layers of PVC to ensure its safety. At $4,000, the Water Totter may be one of the most expensive toys I’ve ever seen, but it seems like one of the most worthwhile, as well. Just make sure you find someone with strong lungs to blow this baby up.

Turn your lawn into a ballpark with Lawn Stryper

June 2, 2010 | Posted by bLavish as Outdoor Fun at 9:36 am | Comments off

Looking to be the envy of your neighborhood this summer? Then try out the Lawn Stryper, a product from S&B Lawn Systems, Inc. designed to easily and safely attach to most walk-behind, self-propelled and push-type lawn mowers. This unique attachment will leave your lawn looking like a professional golf course or major league ballpark.

The striper is easy to attach to a mower and properly bends grass after it has been cut, reflecting light differently off the blades of grass thus producing the baseball field like patterning effect. Easy to attach, easy to use and easy to maintain, the Lawn Stryper is a great way to achieve that perfect, patterned lawn.

The Lawn Stryper can be assembled in 15 minutes or less with a Phillips screwdriver and 16-20 pounds of dry sand (sand not included). If you are a novice at making designs with your lawn, don’t worry – the unit comes with a full color patterning guide which offers tips and patterns including straight patterns, wave patterns, circle patterns, checkerboard patterns and more.

A dark ‘stripe’ is created when patterning towards ‘the viewer” and a light ‘stripe’ is created by patterning away from ‘the viewer’. In order to view all of the benefits, ‘line of sight’ patterning is recommended. For example, if you were to be sitting on your front porch, looking out towards your lawn, consider patterning lines that come straight to and away from your porch. If you were to view these same patterns from the side, visual results may be less dramatic but either way, you are guaranteed to have your lawn looking the best in the neighborhood.

Pick up an amphibious vehicle for summer fun

May 24, 2010 | Posted by bLavish as Outdoor Fun at 10:38 am | Comments off

Amphibious vehicles are popping up in every major city offering a unique tour of both land and water. Now, the masterminds behind Gibbs Technology offer you the chance to take that vehicle home. The Aquada is a revolutionary showcase of high speed amphibian (HSA) technology.

This radical new breed of vehicle has been precision engineered to the most exacting standards. It has undergone an extensive safety testing program and complies with appropriate marine and road safety regulations.

For the mere price tag of $85,000, you can take the vehicle on the ride of your life! The vehicle goes up to 100 miles per hour on land and 30 miles per hour by water. Simply enter the water via beach, boat ramp, slipway or directly from the water’s edge. Once afloat, the transition from road vehicle to high speed amphibian (HSA) is effortlessly achieved.

Simply press a button and drive into the water. The wheels automatically rise and as you press the accelerator nearly a ton of thrust pushes the Aquada onto the plane. The whole process takes less than 12 seconds. The Aquada can plane at over 30 miles per hour. Powerful enough to tow a water-skier and with a style and class of its own, the Gibbs Aquada is the perfect leisure vehicle. It combines the thrill of an open top car with the sheer exhilaration experienced in a high performance speedboat.

The one of its kind amphibious sea vessel is a favorite “toy” among some of the richest and most famous, including Sir Richard Branson, owner of Virgin Airlines, who purchased one to cross the English Channel.

If you want to be the envy of all of your friends, be sure to pick one of these sleek vehicles up today and you will surely be the talk of the town!

Ahhh, don’t you just love eBay?!  You can find anything there these days, including a $10,000 BBQ Train from Train Farmer.

This BBQ Train, which currently has a bid of $8,359, is an amazing grill that has been handworked in Germany.  With enough room for grilling & seating, this BBQ Train is ready to pick you up & feed you as well.

If you win this auction, you can apparently even request additional wagons to cover the whole of your backyard, though the neighbors might just have something to say about that.

Either way, this grill isn’t for the baby grillers, this is for the serious folks!
