Well folks, it appears as if good ole Steve Jobs has left us breathless one more time. Apple has just recently introduced the super-ultra-portable laptop, the MacBook Air.

Debuting at MacWorld 2008, the MacBook Air measures in at a slim .16″ to .76″ & weighs a mere 3 pounds, making this portable laptop not only able to fit into a manilla envelope with ease but also making this the world’s thinnest notebook.

The MacBook Air features a 13.3-inch widescreen LED display with built-in iSight of course, a multi-touch trackpad, Intel Core 2 Duo processors which run at a whopping 1.6 GHz or 1.8 Ghz, black LED keyboard, ambient light sensor, micro-DVI port, magnetic latch closing, 1.8″ hard drive in the standard version or choose a 80 GB or the optional 64 GB solidstate drive, 802.11n wireless, Bluetooth 2.1/EDR, 5 hour battery life, optional external SuperDrive and 2 GB memory!

Wowzers, that was a lot! Preorders are being taken now on the Mac site, though good luck with that one as the website has been bombarded with requests. Prices start at $1799.

Now if we could only get the Mac store employees to be a little less snooty, then maybe, just maybe, I could love Apple with my whole heart.

Anyhoo, the “green” notebook is said to be as environmentally friendly as possible, made with at least a 50% recyclable rate, which isn’t too shabby. While the internal components have yet to be finalized, the laptop will be made from biodegradable bamboo around the mouse pad & keyboard which gives the notebook a very sleek & sexy look. I love it.
