When Prince Charles converted his 1970 Aston Martin DB6 Volante to run on wine, of course, there were some spare parts left of which London’s TMB Artmetal has created some interesting cuff links.
Made from the original aluminum engine pistons these limited edition cufflinks are finished with 18kt gold and a $1600 price tag. Any takers?

The infamous Wittselsbach diamond will finally gone on public display come January 28, 2010.
The 35.56 carat stone has been recut to 31.06 carats to show off its internal flawlessness and will be sitting near the 45.52-carat Hope Diamond at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History. Now, to just be a jewel thief…

Elizabeth Taylor sadly missed the opening of a Beverly Hills jewelry boutique that features her House of Taylor jewelry due to getting the flu.
Taylor was expected at the opening, where they waited three hours to see the celebrity before her spokesman announced she would be unable to attend.

Power duo Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have teamed up to make a new jewelry line for Asprey, called The Protector.
The serpent-dedicated line of luxury jewelry will soon go on sale at Asprey store across the globe, where proceeds will benefit the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict.

The Sookie Stackhouse novels, along with HBO series True Blood, has taken off along with all things vampire such as Twilight.
The newest piece of vampire news is the new True Blood Jewelry Line based off the TV series. Designed by Udi Behr, these stunning jewels have been made using sterling silver, stainless steel chain, leather and of course, blood-red rubies.
Prices for the blood-sucking jewelry line start at $59 and work their way up to around $1,300.

Another luxury jeweler has bit the U.S. dust. Indian jewelry chain Tanishq has just closed two of their stores in the United States.
The Schaumburg, Illinois as well as the Paramus, New Jersey Tanishq stores have closed up shop due to lack of sales. The first of their U.S. shops opened just last summer and the company had plans to open up 25 more stores around the States, but because of the dwindling luxury market, they are now rethinking their plans.
It’s another sad day.

Stranger things have happened on the luxury market we guess, but the fact that someone is trying to turn bits of Michael Jackson’s charred hair into diamonds is a bit more odd than the usual estate of the day.
Well here it is, the hair that MJ burnt on the set of the infamous 1984 Pepsi commercial has plans to be turned into diamonds. The US-based company LifeGem has revealed their plan to create 10 diamonds from the late pop star’s locks.
LifeGem previously created diamonds from composer Beethoven’s hair in 2007 and sold them on eBay for $200K. Wonder how much Jackson’s hair will fetch.

Despite countless luxury companies going under, model Christie Brinkley has chosen this time to launch her new jewelry line.
The CeleBrate, which is being sold via Ross-Simons, features four separate collections including the Floral Collection, Signature Collection, Southwestern Collection and Inspirations Collection. Prices start at $40 and work their way up to $1200.
