The brand new sexy & luxurious Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe is schedule to make its European debut this week in Geneva as part of the famous motor show. The Phantom is said to be starting production at the company’s UK plant in Goodwood this summer, but we all know how that card sometimes gets played, don’t we? Delays, delays, delays.
The highly anticipated two-door, four-seater convertible is a little less classic than previous Rolls-Royce designs, but still the same sexy we expect from this company. The Phantom has been made from a lightweight all-aluminum spaceframe & hand-built using only the finest materials available.
I think I speak for everyone when I say this is one car that has been worth waiting for.

Finally, Audi has officially decided that it will expand its model line from 22 to 40 vechiles by the year 2015. We’re going to have to wait a while, folks. In a recent interview Audi’s CEO Rupert Stadler revealed that they would indeed be expanding their model line as well as coming out with a new compact car, the A1.
We’re not sure, as of yet, how many A1’s the German company will be producing & how many will be imported into the States, but it’s exciting news all the same. Will keep you informed of any new updates on the Audi A1.

You are not looking at a cartoon, I can assure you. What you are looking at, however, is the new Chinese Liebao (Chinese for “Cheetah”). This newly revealed SUV is sure to grab some looks while you’re out on the town, that much is sure.
This Liebao was revealed at the Shanghao Auto Show this year by the company Chang Feng. The company will be bringing just four of these cheetahs over the next year, two pickup trucks & two SUVs. Make sure to look for these babies at NAIAS 2007!

BornRich had it right when they said this 2004 Scion xB is no less than an actual DJ.
“The 2004 Scion model is fully done-up with Pioneer DJ products. The rear of the car fully retracts and two CDJ-1000s and a DJM-600 mixer in a “coffin” motorizes up to play music. The scion mobile DJ also boasts of two AVD-W8000 8-inch monitors in the rear window, Pioneer’s REV series component speakers mounted on doors, four 12-inch subwoofers and the rear doors motorizes open to reveal four sets of the TS-C160R REV speakers installed in specially shaped enclosures . This 2004 Scion xB is the hippest way of hitting the road!”
I don’t even have this type of setup in my home, let alone my ride, but I could definitely do with my own personal DJ.

Another reason why it’s better to be a celebrity. Footballer David Beckham recently had his BMW X5 stolen while he was eating lunch with his sons. But never fear, he’s got a new ride and this one was free, with just a little catch. Audi has offered Beckham a free Audi Q7 for the next year with only one stipulation, he has to drive the car to training every day. Audi is the official sponsor of Real Madrid, Beckham’s football team, so it makes good commercial sense for David to be driving one.
You know, if I get my car stolen all I get is insurance paperwork & headaches. But David Beckham gets the Audi Q7 fully loaded & worth around $122,500. Ahhh, it’s great to be famous. The Q7 is a 4.2FSI in ‘phantom black’ with pearl-effect paintwork and matching black leather interior.
The luxury car comes equipped with a car phone, flat-screen television, Bose stereo, satellite navigation & a keyless entry and starting system. My car comes equipped with a cell phone (which my purse is actually equipped with), a flat-screen rear window, CD player, my trusty glove compartment map navigation system & I own a key that will let me in the vehicle & allow me to access the ’starting system’. Congrats to David Beckham. A man that can buy his own private island, yet gets a free Audi Qt.

Drop off that Hummer limousine and come to where luxury meets a stretch Maybach-like sedan. The 2007 Chrysler Long Wheelbase looks like a typical sedan but will offer an extra 10 cubic feet of interior space due to the car being 6 inches longer than the regular 300.
The 300 Long Wheelbase, or the 300 LW as I like to call it, will go on sale this fall with no estimated price so far. The 300 LW will boast 46 inches of rear-seat legroom so if you need to tote Shaquille O’Neal to his free-shot classes, this is the car for you. The competition is the Maybach 57 sedan which compares at 40.3 inches of rear-seat legroom for $335,000.
I say leave the Hummer at home, or even better at the dealership, and get into class & luxury with the Chrysler 300 Long Wheelbase sedan-limo.

Now, when you tell your friends and the ladies that you have a Porsche they’re probably going to think something like this, “Joe has a Porsche? A real Porsche? He really has it together, that Joe Blow. You know, he has been looking a little more attractive to me lately.”
When they find out that it’s just a Porsche can opener, they might think something like this, “Porsche makes a can opener? What the heck? Why don’t they just leave that to OXO kitchen tools? Still a can opener can be kinda sexy, and a Porsche can opener might even be sexier. The jury is still out on this Joe fella.”
Luxist has a post today for the very real and very sexy Porsche can opener, just the thing to impress your friends and the ladies.
“Designed by F.A. Porsche, the man behind the famous lines of the Porsche 911 and the Porsche Design Group, this sleek looking kitchen gadget is one with fashion and function. A small lever on the side of the can opener handles unlocks the device and a simple twist allows the sharp steel blade to cut through any can. A magnet in the opener holds the lid in place until if can be removed. If you’re looking to turn your kitchen into a tribute to your car, a matching corkscrew, bottle opener and other accessories are available. The can opener retails for $49.99.”
It’s a fascinating consumer world we live in. I suppose next we’re going to see a Crock Pot Mercedes?
