Audi C e-tron Toy Car

January 24, 2011 | Posted by bLavish as For the Kids, Furious Luxury Cars at 8:00 pm | Comments off

We all know Audi for their sleek styling and well-designed cars. But, I bet you’ve never seen an Audi like this one! That’s because, unlike the rest of the Audi line, this Audi is a toy. It was unveiled last week at the International Toy Fair, and was the second time that Audi showed at the fair in Nuremberg.

This is no little matchbox machine, either. While the Audi C e-tron isn’t your usual motor vehicle vehicle, it is a child-sized pedal-powered toy about half the size of the car it’s modeled after, the Audi C Silver Arrow. The C e-tron does have a motor, and will go up to speeds of almost 19 miles per hour, which makes it a pretty powerful little toy. The motor is also electric, and can last up to 15 hours on a single charge. Right now, it’s still in the concept stages, but you can bet that a little speed demon you know is going to have this on her wishlist faster than you can say “mass production”.

Kidz Gear Introduces Wireless Headphones

May 13, 2010 | Posted by bLavish as For the Kids at 5:51 am | Comments off

Not sure how to keep the kids preoccupied while you prepare for a destination road trip? Kidz Gear has figured out a solution. Children of all ages will love their new wireless car headphones. For those long road trips or even just a short visit across town, these headsets are guaranteed to work with all built-in car DVD/sound systems.

Now, children can enjoy rich stereo sound quality when watching DVDs or even listening to the radio in a car. Designed with custom sized ear-cups, auto power off feature and comfortable padding, kids of all ages will suddenly start enjoying rides in the car!

The wireless car headphones are specifically designed for children so they may enjoy a variety of audio content, including DVDs, MP3s, game players and even the radio. The best part about these headsets is the fact that you can simply purchase a wireless transmitter and the kids can continue enjoying the headphones around the home. Each headset features volume control on the ear cup and are designed for children ages two years and older. The headset does use two AAA batteries, which are not included.

The wired headset offers similar quality sound and can even be brought on the plane when traveling. Like the wireless set, these are also designed for children ages two and up. This headset features a built-in independent volume control and includes a volume limit adapter cable.

Laurie Peterson founded the company as a mother who had purchased toy products for her children, including headphones, binoculars, and flashlights only to find they were poorly manufactured, using substandard if not even dangerous components and materials. Tired of purchasing toys and unable to afford to give her children the “adult” versions of these products, she realized the demand for high-quality, fully functional and ergonomically designed products that are value-priced and in the sizes and styles kids love. Williams-Sonoma Personalized Gingerbread House

December 1, 2006 | Posted by bLavish as For the Kids, Holiday Gift Ideas at 1:30 pm | (1) Comment »

personalized-gingerbread-house-12-1-2006.jpgOne of the best treats around the holidays is making your own gingerbread house.  I never really acquired the skills (and patience) to detail an edible house, but I hear it’s fantastically fun & quite rewarding, I just never saw the point of constructing something so beautiful, just to rip it up & eat it later.  It would be like building the Taj Mahal, then tearing the thing down.  Just an odd tradition I suppose.

Anyhoo, back to the Williams-Sonoma Personalized Gingerbread House.  This gingerbread house kit puts the other such kits to shame.  The structure is constructed of a very yummy cookie dough that has been enhanced with molasses, honey, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger & allspice.  Woah, this baby has it all!  The home also features a beautifully decorated exterior with white icing, gumdrops & peppermint sticks.  But what makes this gingerbread house leave all the others in the holiday dust, is that you can personalize this one with your name or any other word up to eight letters, sorry to anyone with an exceptionally long name.  Cost, $49.
