There’s a difference between a wine connoisseur and a wine collector. This is a rectangle/square sort of situation. Every wine collector is probably a connoisseur, but not every connoisseur gets to be a collector. Why is that? Because being a collector requires an enormous investment of both money and space.
A wine collector needs a wine cellar, or at least a temperature-controlled wine closet. Not to mention the right storage system. The Regency collection by Sand & Birch is definitely the right storage system. Sand & Birch has designed some of the most beautifully elegant wine storage in the world.
The Regency Climatized Wine Cellar has the capacity to store up to 90 bottles and is available in single and double temperature control models. The lighting system uses LED, which ensures its low energy consumption, and its elegant Italian design ensures that this wine cellar will be a beautiful addition to your home.

Watch collectors are always looking for a way to keep their collections wound. There are a lot of options out there, but most of them involve winders that will accommodate a few watches at a time, at most. If you have a significant collection, that’s just not going to work. This Bergamo 40 Watch Winding Armoire by Orbita presents a solution to the problem. Unfortunately, I’m not sure it’s going to work, either.
There’s no particular technical problem with the case. It is, in fact, a bit ingenious. But I am always dubious about furniture that tries to be too many things at once, and this is no exception. In part, it seems a little ostentatious to display your watches so publicly, and also, I’m not sure they belong on the same furniture with a fake plant and family photos. It sort of reminds me of that faux potted palm from the Sky Mall catalog that is also a litter box. I’m not comparing watch collections to kitty litter, but still, I think it might be okay to invest in a piece of furniture that’s JUST a watch winder if your collection is super extensive.

For foodies, there is no more fetishized object than the chef’s knife. You can have all the fancy gadgetry and appliances in the world, but all you really need is a really good knife to change your whole kitchen experience around. This gorgeous chef’s knife was designed by the world famous Ken Onion, and the quality is as evident in the beauty of the object as it is in its usefulness.
Watch out for imitations, because the design of this knife is patent-pending. The design features a specially angled curved bolster and specially shaped handle, which is meant to fit perfectly into the palm and release arm tension. That’s right, a knife that reduces tension. What more could you ask for? How about a beautifully water-resistant Pakkawood handle? Check. The 8-inch Damascus blade even has an extra curve to it so that it will slide beautifully against your cutting board. Don’t let the $200 price tag be a deterrent, this is a knife that will last a lifetime, and then some/

If you’ve never heard of Lamp Berger before, you really need this little lesson. Lampe Berger is a line of diffusers that use a unique stone burner that removes odors, purifies the air, and leaves a distinctive fragrance behind. The inventor, Berger, produced the first Lampe Berger burners in 1898 for medical use. The antibacterial properties of the lamps, however, are just one of their many qualities.
For one thing, the line features a variety of high quality scents. None of those drugstore chemically-smelling air fresheners. These come in scents like peppermint and amber. And the slow burning oil lasts hours and hours, and fills your home with the delightful fragrance of your choice. The lamps themselves come in a variety of styles and materials from glass to stone. This artsy, minimalist ceramic version is one of my favorites.

Luxury shower heads will soon be disappearing from stores near you. The change comes courtesy of the federal government who recently revamped a 1992 law that decided shower nozzles should not be able to dispense more than 2.5 gallons of water a minute.
Previously, luxury models like the Raindance Imperial 600 AIR simply grouped multiple nozzles together, topping out at around 12 gallons of water per minute. (And selling for around $5,457). With the re-vamp of the energy-saving laws though, the entire shower head (not just the individual nozzles) can only dispense 2.5 gallons or less per minute.
It’s a dirty victory for the government -both consumers and businesses alike seem to agree that the new regulations stink. What do you think? An energy saving victory or a totally unnecessary regulation? Leave a comment below.

So maybe the Jetsons era has finally approached with the new HydroGlass Showering System.
Developed by none other than HydroCo, this wet room treatment is all you need and more. Enjoy a wet massage or just relish in the wetness while you look down at your fishy friends making play in their own water.
The swing-away Vichy rainbar is affixed to foot end of the table and an individual showerhead enables a reduction in water usage, down as much as 80% compared with other Vichy-type shower treatments.
All in all, who doesn’t want to shower with the fishes? No word, as of yet, on pricing I’m afraid.
