If you love keeping up with the latest fashion and buying glamorous accessories, then this blog post will show you some great girly items which are stylish, fashionable and will help you look your best, even on your commute to work.

Laptop cases

Why have a plain black laptop case when you can have something more exciting and fashionable like a funky, retro style, vibrantly colored case instead? So if you are heading to your local coffee shop during your lunch break to order a sandwich and enjoy a latte, while you use the free WIFI connection to have a game of Foxy Bingo or e-mail some clients, you are sure to look great carrying a stylish and colorful laptop case. In addition, the foam cases are very comfortable and soft, making them perfect for slipping under your arm.

Cupcake shaped earphones

When you are sitting on the metro or the bus on your way to work, the last thing you want to do is wear a huge pair of earphones which ruin your hair, so instead, why not wear a cute pair of girly earphones? Many shops sell fun shaped earphones, from mini cupcake designs to rose buds. Not only are they small and delicate, but they make a great accessory which you could even try co-ordinating with your earrings.

Roll out pump shoes

Sometimes it isn’t practical to wear heels when you are commuting to work; you may have walk a fair distance from the station to your office, or you might have to run to make your train connection. If this sounds like you, then what you need are roll out pump shoes. These fashionable shoes are comfy and flat, perfect for walking to work in, and when you arrive at your office, simply slip them off, roll them up into a compact ball and change into your heels.

It is rumored that when Marie Antoinette fled the Palace of Versailles when it was attacked by an angry mob of peasants that it was her signature scent that gave her disguise away. The perfume, which is a blend of bergamot, cardamom, rose, jasmine, incense, cinnamon, sandalwood, patchouli, vanilla, tonka bean and amber, is called Black Jade. Ironically, it was released for sale on July 14th, which is Bastille Day in France.

The scent, which is now sold by Lubin, was originally designed for the queen by the royal perfumer Jean-Louis Fargeon. She is said to have worn it always, and carried a small vial of it with he right up until her beheading. It’s available at available at Aedes De Venustas in New York.

With these quirky new cases by Dutch jewelry designer Ted Norton, they won’t even be exaggerating.

The cases are molded to look like dangerous handguns, but they conceal something far less terrifying than bullets. The cases come in two models, the Chanel and the Dior, and each contains a unique assortment of acoutrements. The Dior, which is available for $11,500, comes with Dior lipgloss, an antique hairpin, an 18 karat gold toothpick, and something every woman needs, a 50 gram 24 karat gold bar. The Chanel comes outfitted with similar accessories, but from the Chanel line, and runs at a more expensive $17,000.

The design is definitely a little over-the-top, but it’s a little piece of avant garde design that you can carry around in your purse.

Chopard has just released a special line for summer. It’s called the Happy Sport la Vie en Rose line, named after the famous song by French chanteuse Edith Piaf. It’s an interesting tribute, as the soft feminine styling of the line isn’t particularly in line with that of Ms. Piaf. I guess it’s just the emblematic rose design that inspired the name.

Regardless, these sparkly pastel timepieces are quite sweet. They each have an enamel rose on them, but with varying degrees of bling. I prefer the sleeker version, with the rose gold bezel and floating diamonds. The more elaborate version has a rose sapphire and diamond encrusted bezel plus floating diamonds, plus pave diamond detailing on the rose. Honestly, I think it’s a little much, but that’s to be expected from a minimalist like me.

The La Vie en Rose line is typically high Chopard quality, with all Swiss quartz movements. One of these would make an extravagant belated Mother’s day gift for a very lucky woman.

On this amazingly badass ring by Alexander McQueen, the latter is definitely the case. There’s not actually anything actually trashy about this design, but it does reference biker girl style in a pretty clear way.

The design is classic McQueen, with his signature skull motif combined with Swarovski-accented flowers and butterflies. It’s the combination of these seemingly contradictory elements that make the design so effective. It looks as though the heavy, scary looking skull has been graced with a lovely halo. I guess some people might find the look a little creepy, but it fits in well with this season’s dark, edgy aesthetic without getting too goth.

And, no, it’s not because they hired Sarah Jessica Parker on as a designer, either. I mean, I’m not a naysayer or anything, but I did wonder about the actress’s design credentials (or lack thereof). In any case, SJP is doing a bang up job, and the diffusion line is hotter than ever. No, “diffusion” isn’t a bad word, either. Just because it’s less expensive doesn’t make it less interesting. Now that I’ve gotten all that out, let’s get to this dress.

I chose this dress to feature today because it reminds me of Natalie Portman’s character in Black Swan. Not her evil twin, though, this reminds me of something the good swan might wear. On the red carpet, that is. This blushy nude gown ahas influences all the way from Greco-Roman to Disco, and it couldn’t come together in a more elegant way. The subtle sheen of the metallic is the perfect complement to the precise draping. This is definitely a must have of the spring season.

Lizard skin is one of those luxurious materials that you sometimes find on handbags or fancy journals. When you find it, it’s usually time for a lot of ooh-ing and ahh-ing. When you find it on sunglasses, if you’re like me, you’ll be so excited that you won’t have any idea how to respond. These red and black lizard-trimmed sunglasses by Linda Farrow Luxe are so cool I can barely contain myself.

The shape is a great marriage of retro and modern. They have that great oversized appeal that’s been so popular the past few years, but it’s not too much. The corners come together in sort of an exaggerated cat eye shape, which brings attention to the red lizard skin. The textural contrast between the reptile skin and the shiny smooth acetate is amazing, but subtle enough that it’s not distracting. These sunglasses are exactly what the Linda Farrow line implies: Luxe.

Okay, Valentine’s Day is getting seriously close. Like now if you want to order something, you’re gonna have to have it overnighted. I am more excited about these earrings than any other Valentine’s Day gift I have seen this year, so if you’re reading this, Valentine, hint hint, yes these would be perfect.

These Domonic Jones earrings has a refined, but edgy aesthetic. The 22 carat rose gold is warm and eye-catching, and frankly, rose gold is all the rage right now. I love the simple, ironic bear trap heart design. It says, “I have a heart that clamps on to something and never lets go.” A little scary? Maybe, but so cool. These earrings are definitely for a youngish, hippish Valentine. In other words, I wouldn’t really buy them for, say, your mother, or your child’s preschool teacher. They would be perfect nestled in a box of dark chocolate wasabi truffles. Not that I’m dropping hints, again.

The sleek stainless steel case is accented with two iridescent pink faces. It’s possible to set the two to different time zones, in case you want to keep track of the hour both here and elsewhere. The movements are the finest quality and the faces are quartz. While the quality of the object is undeniable, the practicality of it is in question.

I’m not really sure that many women need a watch disguised as a tube of lipstick, and as a person who loses her lip balm constantly, I would be afraid that the pricey object would suffer the same fate, forever relegated to the bottom of a tote bag. The aesthetics, while, undeniably feminine, are also a bit girlish for most grown women. The watch comes with the equipment to wear as both a necklace or on a wrist strap, but frankly, neither of these options is well-suited for telling the time, and while it may become a collector’s item due to its novelty, I’m not sure I would want to wear it around my neck. Sometimes luxury goods put a little too much emphasis on the luxury, and forget that they’re supposed to be goods that you can use. This, I’m afraid, is one of those.

Okay, gentlemen, you officially have ten days until Valentine’s Day. Ladies, that means you have three more days to get in reasonable gift requests or drop relevant hints. If you’re the kind of woman that likes glossy, pop art inspired jewelry, this Hot Lips ring by Solange Azagury-Partridge would be a great addition to your collection.

The sterling silver base has been coated with an extra thick layer of enamel, which makes the lips look extra glossy and lacquered. The bubblegum pink color is bright and eye-catching. But if the eye-popping color isn’t enough to attract attention, the substantial size will be.

I have to say that while I’m not usually the kind of girl that goes in for pink anything, there’s something cute and kitschy about this ring that is really appealing. Even girls who aren’t girly girls can find a way to work this one into their wardrobes.
