Hamann Motorsports has unveiled its revamped 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder. What’s with all the Spyders anyway? Mitsubishi Spyder, Lamborghini Spyder. We are running rampant with spiders.
Anyhoo, the newly revamped Spyder sports a tuned ECU, four-pipe exhaust, aerodynamic enhancements, 19″ or 20″ wheels & of course, vertical-lift doors. Where would we be without those vertical lift doors?

It looks like there’s good news ahead in 2008. Bugatti is planning on launching a $1.9 million version of their Veyron supercar.
The new Targa model will feature a glass roof brought to us by Webasto who gave Volkswagen Eos that good folding roof. The Bugatti’s roof will not automatically retract, however, because of the Veyron’s tightly packed design. To compensate for the additional weight of the glass roof, the supercar will have a carbon hood & doors.
Whatever she is & will be, I’m looking forward to the Targa’s premier.

Many things do not deserve the expression ‘Holy Cow’, but I think this is one that may. Holy Cow! Check out California’s only Street-Legal Jet Powered Beetle.
Ron Patrick holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and my has he used his education well. Patrick has engineered his Volkswagen Beetle to have two engines- the production gas engine in the front & the jet engine in the back.
Patrick states that he built the car to thrill him, not kill him so he does not know what speed the Street-Legal Beetle is capable of. For more pics & info on this truly outrageous Beetle, click here.

The 50th Anniversary 2007 Mercedes Benz SL550 has finally arrived & the new body style is drool-alicious.
The new SL550 celebrates the original 1957 300SL in all its glory, and it looks like they did a damn fine job. Forget saving for the kids’ college fund, I’m taking this baby home.
Powered by a 382 hp V-8 engine, this Pewter Metallic love-of-my-life dream car features ventilated Congnac Brown leather seats you will enjoy while cruising the streets in 18-inch shiny wheels.
I’m not clear on the price as of yet, but we all know this beauty is going to be a pricey one. I can’t wait for the miniature, the one I can actually afford to take home with me.

It looks like Paris Hilton has bet away her prized Bentley in a round of poker & in turn has been banned from the family casino.
The 25-year-old hotel heiress has been barred from the Las Vegas casino by parents Rick and Kathy Hilton and has been ordered into gambling therapy by her worried folks.
Paris confesses that she does have a gambling obsession. “I’m obsessed with poker. It’s my favorite game. I’m really lucky in Vegas, I always win.”
Well, it seems as if her luck may have changed. I wonder who got the beautiful Bentley…..

I know, I know, I’ve been on a fast & furious car kick. I guess it’s just my need for speed. The world premier of the new Audi TT came out with a bang.
The German-made Audi TT has only been on the market since 1998, but with its distinctive style and sporty character, there are so many on the road these days, you’d think they were an old icon. Car enthusiasts worldwide were curious and at the same time weary of Audi redesigning the TT, loving her the way she is, but it looks like the facelift has turned out beautifully, never fear.

The new Audi TT retains the rounded shape on the rear of the car and the round air outlets, while the two center vents on the dash are now replaced with three, I’m sure our passenger pups will thank us. To reduce the weight of the new TT, Audi used and developed a Space Frame design consisting of aluminum & steel, with 68% being devoted to the former. The majority of the steel components are at the rear of the car, which improves weight distribution.
The second-generation TT is initially available as a coupe with a roadster to follow. The new TT will go on sale in Europe late this year, followed by the US in the spring of 2007. The new Audi TT is as distinctive as the original, yet with an updated flare consistent with the more recent Audi designs and I can’t wait to see this beauty hit the road.

Don’t let the name of this power machine scare you, the 2001 Porshe 911 Turbo is a monster of a fast and furious car. Porsche first introduced a 911 Turbo to the US in 1976 and since that year they have improved the model every year. The original 911 Turbo produced 234 horsepower and could accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just under six seconds, quite fast for that time.
Today, with a 415-horsepower twin-turbo engine, all-wheel drive, and exclusive styling, the 2001 911 Turbo takes its place at the top of the Porsche model line and in the top echelon of the supercar category. The 911 Turbo can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.2 seconds. On the test track, the car can achieve a top track speed of 189 mph.
According to Luxury Motor specs, the unique design features include bi-xenon headlight clusters and a two-piece rear stabilizer wing. The upper portion of the wing automatically raises at speeds above 75 mph and lowers at speeds below 50 mph. Derived form the Porsche GT1 race car, the 3.6-liter, horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine features dual intercoolers and produces 26.8 psi maximum boost-more than double any previous 911 Turbo.
Now, don’t you think it’s high time to get inside one of these babies? For only $77,995 you can drive it away today.

A muscle car to rival any out there. AutoBlog has the Saleen / Parnelli Jones Limited Edition Mustang pegged.
“Not satisfied with Ford’s own “California Special” Mustang? A muscle car brought to you by Hertz not making your blood boil? Then perhaps Steve Saleen can light a fire under your ass with his new Saleen/Parnelli Jones Limited Edition Mustang that not only does a great job harkening back to the past with visuals inspired by Jones’ own Grabber Orange Boss 302 Mustang from the early ‘70s, but also adds to the Mustang’s moxy with a 302 cid V8 that produces 370 SAE hp and 370 ft-lbs. of torque at a low, low, low 4,000 RPM. Further engine upgrades allow Steve’s new Stang to rev higher than most Mustangs ever will.
Other special touches include 302 valve covers, a black striped “shaker” hood, a 1970 replica rear wing and rear window quarter panels. There are even removable and reusable static cling decals included, one of Parnelli’s famous number 15 and the other a blue oval logo.
Suspension and brake upgrades as well as an interior tweak that invites the orange inside round out the 2007 Saleen/Parnelli Jones Limited Edition Mustang. While we don’t know how many units will be produced, we do know they’ll be sold in the mid-to-high $50,000 range.”
As muscly a car as you should be allowed to drive. It’s a beauty.
