Doesn’t that water look almost too good this summer? Well then, it’s nothing that $72 million won’t cure!
Another mega-expensive property has hit the market in New York. A prime waterfront 18.4-acre family compound and equestrian facility in Wainscott has come on the market for $72 million listed with Sotheby’s International Realty. What do you get for your money? This Hamptons sprawl consists of four parcels that have been in the same family for three centuries. There are three homes, multiple barns and a vacant building parcel. Newsday’s Real LI column reveals that one 2.7-acre parcel has a five-bedroom house with a pool and 432 feet of frontage on Wainscott Pond with views of the ocean. That house was built in the 1920s but was recently updated. On the largest parcel, 11.7 acres, there is a house built in the 1600s with a working horse farm as well as several barn buildings and paddocks, 200 feet of pond frontage and more ocean views. The smallest chunks are a pair of 1.9-acre lots, one with a greenhouse and a cottage and the other only has horse paddocks. A house can be built on each of the parcels.

If you’re dying to live on top of the world in the world’s tallest residential tower, then you’ll have to be willing to travel to Mumbai where Lodha Developers Ltd. have you covered.
Lodha Developers will soon begin breaking ground on the ground-breaking project of building luxury residences over 1,470 feet into the sky.
The tower will reportedly cost around $450 million to build and units are already being sold at prices from around $1.5 million all the way up to more than $12 million. The developer told the Wall Street Journal that the building will go green by recycling its water, harvesting rain water and using solar power.
Given the recent opening of the Burj Khalifa amid Dubai’s real estate implosion, the building of such a monumental new skyscraper seems risky at best but according to Abhisheck Lodha, managing director of Lodha Developers, there is enough economic growth in India to support the project and enough rich people to live there.
The oval shaped building, designed by Pei Cobb Freed & Partners and Leslie E. Robertson Associates, provides a balcony for each unit. The units on the higher floors don’t only have better views but they will have less street noise and cooler balconies.

It’s just not often that we get to see a 65,000-square-foot single-family home with a 5,400-square-foot master suite. It’s listed in the high-$20 million range under one of those deals where if you have to ask, you probably can’t afford it. But where is it written that we can’t drool? The estate, which incorporates the use of glass, steel, granite and marble, was designed by Hong Kong architect Branko Pahor. Three guest suites are detailed with an Asian theme, including a 3,800-square-foot Japanese style bedroom with its own enclosed Zen garden.
And did we mention that it’s a mere 20 minutes from the Phuket International Airport and is also located on the infamously known Natal Beach in Phang Nga Province? Yeah, now you’re ready to roll!

The Yucatan government has been trying to buy the archaeological site of Chichen Itza for years.
The historic site draws tourists from around the globe and was owned for years by businessman Hans Jurgen Thies Barbachano until recently when the deal finally went through for the state to purchase the 205 private acres for $17.6 million.
This deal will put to rest decades-long bickering over the land, which was until now owned by Barbachano and his predecessors but with the state owning the actual monuments.
