Amosu Diamond Encrusted iPhone

amosu-diamond-iphone.jpgYou were probably expecting this, weren’t you?  I’m just surprised that it took this long for us to see such an extravagant diamond encrusted iPhone, but here it is at long last.

Please allow your eyes to feast upon the Amosu Diamond Encrusted iPhone.   Priced to be daring at $40,000, this phone says pimpin’ all over it, or whatever the kids are saying these days.

According to the designer Amosu, “Each phone is handcrafted to perfection using skilled craftsmanship, all diamonds are recyclable, which means they can be removed from one handset and then recast onto another, meaning the customer’s investment continues to shine!”

I sure am glad that he specified what he meant by ‘recyclable’, I might have been at the local recycling center looking not for the aluminum cans area, but the diamond recycling area.  What a funny world that would be.

As part of an added benefit of this diamond iPhone, Amosu is offering a complimentary (after you pay the $40K) one-year membership to the International Concierge Service which provides its members access to the inaccessible, such as front row fashion show seats & the like.

So, how many are you getting?

Apple Execs Reveal iPhone Anxiety

June 4, 2007 | Posted by Allison as Cell Phones at 11:00 am | (3) Comments »

iphone-anxiety-6-4-07.jpgWell, the hype is there like it never has been before.  The Apple iPhone has many people itching for the highly-anticipated cell phone more than freedom itself.

But will the expectations meet with disappointment?  According to an article from the New York Times, Apple execs are more than a little worried that the phone of the year will not live up to the hype.

“The anticipation, which is intense even by Jobsian standards, has led to some quiet, behind-the-scenes anxiety at Apple. Some Apple executives worry privately that expectations for the one-button phones may be too high and that first-generation buyers will end up disappointed.”

I’m guessing that they’re right to be a but anxious.  With such a high price tag, momental hype & the Apple name, you’re bound to run into some troubles…  But you’re still buying them for you & all your pals, aren’t you?

Verizon Will Censor YouTube for Cell Phones

Well, the word is in about the Verizon YouTube relationship, & it doesn’t look fantastic.  According to Gizmodo, you will be able to access YouTube via your Verizon cell phone for $15 a month.

This deal is expected to be accounced officially later today & next month’s launch is highly anticipated, just in time for the holidays, eh?  But here’s the bitter drink, you will not be paying that precious $15 for the YouTube you know (and love), you will be receiving a video service from V Cast and will not be an exact replica of the YouTube website.

Hmmm, what do you make of that?  Still worth the 15 bucks a month?  I guess we’ll just have to try her out & let you know.

Satellite phones are traditionally known for being large, bulky & obtrusive.  But there is now, thanks to Globalstar, a new kid on the street.

Globalstar’s new GSP-1700 mobile satellite phones are the smallest, lightest phone that can access the global satellite network.  Although it looks like a shotgun met a cell phone, the GSP-1700 only weighs in at 7.1 ounces.

The lithium-charged battery on the world’s smallest satellite phone allows users to communicate for up to four hours & features a standby time of 36 hours.  So, no matter where you are, you’re sure to be able to order that pizza; just not sure if you’ll be able to get it delivered!
