Okay, so who’s guilty of buying a 3G iPhone this weekend? I know that I could be found a little on the guilty side for standing in a 7am line on Friday morning, but it was worth it, oh was it worth it. Well, besides the ill-equipped AT&T staff & the iTunes servers fiasco…..
You know, I think I’m going to have to have a wee bit of a sandbox session entitled, How Could They Have Not Been Ready & Seen It Coming?
You would think with the high volume of sales for the first iPhones that Apple & AT&T would be more than prepared to deal with what we would throw at them. But no…..after I left the AT&T store at 10:30am, I did not have a working phone & only three people who visited the store that highly-anticipated day actually left with a 3G working phone. So, what gives?
Obviously we were all having a heck of a time getting logged into iTunes Friday since the system was being bogged down by all the happy buyers, but why wasn’t Steve Jobs prepared for all this?
If I was Steve, this would be my statement, “Despite the sheer success of the initial iPhone as well as the clear successful marketing campaign, I just didn’t think anyone would buy one of the 3G phones.”
Yep, that pretty much sums it up for me.
So, what’s your favorite feature about the 3G? Besides the fact that you finally got it to work after hours of trying to synch to iTunes….

So when July 11 finally rolls around, are you going to have the perfect cell phone case on hand for your brand new iPhone? Better get that going soon, as these luxury case are going fast.
This iPhone case is one of the most expensive of the markets. At $20,000 this case features 42 VVS1 diamonds for a total of 3.5 carats, which is around $5.7K for each carat actually. Not too horrible for them being VVS1 though, so you should really just go ahead and buy twelve, right?

Although this ZX1 Lamborghini PDA is not really a certified iPhone, it certainly bears a very close resemblance. Do I hear a lawsuit, Steve Jobs?
This PDA cell phone is expected to make its debut at the German tech show CeBit which is being held this month, so go get your hot tickets now. The ZX1 features are similar to that of the iPhone, including, a touch-screen access, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth & 3G connectivity.
The cost of the Lamborghini PDA is expected to be around $1,000, or maybe if you go ahead & lay down some cash for a luxury Lamborghini, they’ll throw one in for free.

You were probably expecting this, weren’t you? I’m just surprised that it took this long for us to see such an extravagant diamond encrusted iPhone, but here it is at long last.
Please allow your eyes to feast upon the Amosu Diamond Encrusted iPhone. Priced to be daring at $40,000, this phone says pimpin’ all over it, or whatever the kids are saying these days.
According to the designer Amosu, “Each phone is handcrafted to perfection using skilled craftsmanship, all diamonds are recyclable, which means they can be removed from one handset and then recast onto another, meaning the customer’s investment continues to shine!”
I sure am glad that he specified what he meant by ‘recyclable’, I might have been at the local recycling center looking not for the aluminum cans area, but the diamond recycling area. What a funny world that would be.
As part of an added benefit of this diamond iPhone, Amosu is offering a complimentary (after you pay the $40K) one-year membership to the International Concierge Service which provides its members access to the inaccessible, such as front row fashion show seats & the like.
So, how many are you getting?

Well, the hype is there like it never has been before. The Apple iPhone has many people itching for the highly-anticipated cell phone more than freedom itself.
But will the expectations meet with disappointment? According to an article from the New York Times, Apple execs are more than a little worried that the phone of the year will not live up to the hype.
“The anticipation, which is intense even by Jobsian standards, has led to some quiet, behind-the-scenes anxiety at Apple. Some Apple executives worry privately that expectations for the one-button phones may be too high and that first-generation buyers will end up disappointed.”
I’m guessing that they’re right to be a but anxious. With such a high price tag, momental hype & the Apple name, you’re bound to run into some troubles… But you’re still buying them for you & all your pals, aren’t you?
