The company Pearl Yachts has always been known for their interesting approach to yachts but this time it’s their marketing that’s getting them notice.
Pearl Yachts has just started an advertising campaign that will get you a free Bentley GT Continental Coupe when you purchase their $1.4million Pearl 60. Not too shabby of a deal really.
The Pearl 60 features twin 775 hp Volvo engines and reaches a top speed of 32 knots. So, are you ready to drive and boat your heart out?

The world’s largest floating hotel plans have been put on hold due to the current economy.
Aquiva, the world’s largest luxury yacht hotel, was due to open its doors to London for the Olympics in 2012 but it looks as if that date is a dream since the chief executive has revealed that the plans are on hold right now because of the global economic crisis.
The 158-room yacht was to feature an on-board ballroom, business center with five meeting rooms, a spa, gym, pool, bars and several restaurants. We can only hope Aquiva will soon be back on target.

JamesList, the luxury man’s Craigslist, is offering up the spectacular 289-foot Maltese Falcon for a mere $138 million.
Built for American Tom Perkins back in 2006 by Italy’s Perini Navi Yachts, this yacht is the largest and fastest personal sailboat anywhere. The Maltese Falcon is controlled by her three 57-meter free-standing masts and can probably outrun the Black Pearl herself.
The Maltese even comes equipped with a state-of-the art fiber-optic sensor system which keeps track of the wind speed and force so you won’t have to. A beautiful ship, the Maltese, and she can now be yours, for that slightly hefty price tag anyway.

Another Dubai project is seeing the brakes, as worldwide investors are bracing for more bad economic news.
Plans to turn the Queen Elizabeth 2 cruise ship into a luxurious floating hotel have been stalled. Purchased by government-owned developer Nakheel, the QE2 was to be a new tourist destination that would boast a 500-seat theater and massive spa complex.
Instead, the QE2 is sitting silently on the waters, waiting until such time as the project will be picked up once again.

The Delta Queen, a National Historic Landmark which once hosted President Jimmy Carter as a passenger, will no longer be offering cruises along the Tennessee River in Chattanooga.
The cruise vessel was not able to meet fire safety codes so the Delta Queen will now be a floating hotel along Chattanooga river district. The 285-foot ship can now host 176 passengers and offers smaller cabins on up to more luxurious and larger accommodations.

Saddam Hussein’s 269-foot yacht has failed to sell since it’s been on the market since last fall for $30 million.
The yacht was done up lavishly for Saddam with a bulletproof atrium, two medical treatment areas, a swimming pool and plenty of marble and gold to go around. The yacht has been in Greece for maintenance work but now will be towed to a Basra provence in Iraq.
