French Mastiff Is the Most Expensive Dog Breed

french-mastiff-most-expensive-dog-breed.jpgEver wondered what the most expensive dog breed is?  Well, if it goes by weight, you should have thought that a French Mastiff the winner.

Originally bred for fighting & personal protection, the French Mastiff’s ancestry can be traced back to the Middle Ages.  The breed was known in France around the 14th century and was entered in its first show in 1863.

But what can you expect to pay for the most expensive dog breed around?  Try around $2300 for a puppy from a reputable breeder.  Ouch, how much are they at the pound?

    I just love this dog,i’ve got a labrador retriever in light golden color.I am thinking of getting this dog ( french mastiff ) too.Where can i find a perfect 100% dog?

    … I have two french Mastiffs at home, and one of them had the bloodlines of the French mastiff who won the entire argentina show ((I think was only done once before)). He was about 3500 $…. English Bulldogs without the champion bloodlines cost that much and more.

    I had a french mastiff, they’re the best dogs. I am actually thinking of getting another. As far as it being “the most expensive dog”, its not. I got mine at reputable breeder and it wasn’t the most expensive it was about 1300. In my prospective the English Bulldog, and designer breeds are much more expensive. If anyone is thinking about getting one, you should. They’re loving, have a strong personality, not high maintenance at all, and very very cute. Also definitely buy from a breeder, never get a dog from a pet store.

    i need some help !
    i have to chose out of a french mastiff
    or a toy poodle
    the french mastiff is about 1 and 1/2 years old
    while the toy poodle is only a puppy i cant decide which dog
    to choose and i really need peoples opinion so somebody

    I disagree that the french mastiff is the most expensive dog. I got pick of the litter from a reputable dealer also – for $1500.00. The bulldog my friend has cost him $2500.00 plus the constant vet bills and all the destroyed furniture. No thank you. I’ll keep my mastiffs.

    Pedegree is all that counts when it comes to buying a dog mutts should be free but some people whant money for some mutts if they are part of good breeds like Alaskan huskies they were bred to be the best of the sled dogs and so far thats true really most breeders will sell there worst pedagree dogs for 400 to 300 dallars and there best 1,000 dollars and up. some dogs are sold for more because they have had all there shots and vaccinations.

    FRENCH MASTIFF IS THE COSTLIEST DOG ON EARTH. FEW BREEDERS MAY SELL AT CHEAP PRICE, BUT HEAVY BONES ARE GOT FROM PURE BLOODLINES WHICH IS OBVIOUS COSTLIER. ENGLISH BULLDOG ARE NOT COMPARABLE TO THIS MASSIVE BREED.
