prince-charles-estate-7-2-07.jpgWe need ten cheers for Prince Charles.  Hip hip hooray!  The Prince of Wales has recently helped to save one of Scotland’s most historic estates, the Dumfries House.

Located in East Ayrshire, this estate was designed in the late 1750s by John, Robert & James Adam.  The property was facing an unfortunate auction through Christie’s that was to be held July 12-13.

But Prince Charles came in to save the day & helped raise the whopping $90 million to save the estate.  The home will more than likely be open to the public starting next year, but you won’t have to pay anything close to $90 million to enter.
