Estate Of the Day: Michael Vick’s House An Animal Shelter?

michael-vick.jpgWhen Michael Vick sold the infamous Virginia property which was used in a dogfighting ring, I doubt that he thought the house might one day be an animal shelter.

Vick’s home was appraised back last May for $747,000 but sold at a bargain price of $450,000, which was unfortunately not too shabby for the footballer who bought the 15 acres in 2002 for $34,000 & added a home.

Last month the property went up for auction, but real estate developer Wilbur Ray rejected a final offer of $747,000, saying that he put $50,000 into fixing the place up after vandals made their mark.

Now the house is being listed at $1.1 million & the word on the street is an animal advocacy group wants to turn the property into a shelter for abused dogs.  I like the sound of this, don’t you?  You can donate here to help the shelter take root.
