Estate Of the Day: Foreclosure Hits Aretha Franklin

The queen of soul has something new to lend her dulcet tones to.  Foreclosure has hit Aretha Franklin where it hurts, her Bloomfield Hills, Michigan estate.

One of the latest members of the celebrity foreclosure club, Franklin is pointing the finger at her attorney, saying that a “mistake” has resulted in her $700,000 mansion slipping into neverneverland.  Aretha is making pains to pay $19,192 in back taxes on the property by the March 31 deadline, but it might be you sitting at the queen of soul’s throne room by then.

Good luck, Aretha.  Maybe sell some blood?

    Are you kidding me, Aretha still performs regularly and she makes at least 80 grand at each booking – do you think she cant afford to pay the bill lol

    someone should get aretha cable. she still gets over the air tv, look at that antenna. maybe she cant pay her bills afterall.

    This is just one of Aretha’s residences, not the one she actually lives in. And yes she did pay her tax bill on time.
