Estate of the Day: Doug E. Fresh’s Harlem Foreclosures

When the economy gets tough, the tough gets to foreclosing I suppose.

Another in a long list of celebrity foreclosures is none other than vintage rapper Doug E. Fresh, who is facing not only one but three foreclosures in Harlem.

Fresh owes different banks a sum total of $3.5 million on all three Harlem homes, on top of a whopping $60,000 in American Express debt.  I tell you, 80s stars sure didn’t know how to save.

Even while his financial life crumbles all around him, Fresh has plans to open up a restaurant, Doug E’s Chicken and Waffles, which I’m sure we’ll see on the foreclosure market late next year.  That’s another thing about 80s stars, they just don’t know when to stay down.
