DWR’s Annual Champagne Chair Contest Winners Announced

Design Within Reach’s (DWR) annual Champagne Chair Contest winners have been announced.  This contest, if you’re not familiar with the idea, invites folks to come up with their own DWR-inspired creations using leftover corks from New Year’s Eve champagne bottles.  Crazy idea, right?

From this year’s winners, you can see just how creative the participants got.  This year’s grand prize winner received was a $1,500 gift certificate to DWR, not too shabby, eh?  This year’s winners are listed below & interestingly are all from the U.S.

Grand Prize: Cantilever Block by Adam Weisberger of Louisville, Kentucky
Second Prize: Kleeko Chair by Stacie Matrka of Columbus, Ohio
Most Popular Award: Chair Squared by Edward Cristman of San Rafael, California
