David Beckham’s $50,000 Luxury Monarch Vi-Spring Bed

david-beckan-v-spring-monach-lusury-bed.jpgYou know, the more I learn about beds, the more I realize how complex the issue has become.  Where before we were lucky to have a feather or straw bed, today there are foam beds of every kind, color & cost, supposedly luxurious horse hair beds, new feather beds, spring beds & just about anything else you can imagine with every kind of high end price tag.

So, this morning when I learned that David Beckham sleeps on a $50,000 luxury bed, I’ll tell ya, it didn’t surprise me one bit.  Beckham’s precious bod sleeps on the newly unveiled Monarch Vi-Spring luxury bed. 

Available exclusively at Harrods, this $50K bed promises the sleep of your life, stating, “Known to those who sleep in them as truly life changing beds, Vi-Spring was the very first bedmaker to introduce the pocket sprung mattress in 1901. Its beds continue to grace some of the finest hotels and homes in the world today, each one tailor made to order in Devon using the highest quality natural materials and exclusive Belgian fabrics.”

I just have one question.  Can I get the model the Becks slept on?

    You can save your money on fancy mattresses and instead buy an amazing feather bed or fiber bed and then layer in luxury beeding pieces (check out ShopDOWNLITE.com for their Kensington 500 TC Tencel Cotton 700 Fill Power White Goose Down Comforter [also in PrimaLoft and matching pillows] – the stuff is amazing. You can get the same uber luxury experience for a more reasonable grand versus $55K:-)

    One of the most refreshing night’s of sleep I ever had was in a Japanese Ryokan. The floor was covered in grass tatami mats and the futon itself, about 4 inches deep, was very firm, but still cushioning. The subtle fragrance of fields in summer (without the mosquitos), emitted year-long from the tatami, lofted me up in a suspended state of bliss for eight replenishing hours.

    An added bonus to using a floor based futon: the repeated bending of your knees every night of your life helps ward off joint problems later on.

    Well if you make 250million per year, why not spend it comfortable? And he does have a hot wife to share it with.

    Maybe the bed is worth 50k. I would love a chance to try out that kind of bed,

    Life is somehing 2 B enjoyed………….so y not? It hardly matters whether u sleep on a $50,000, luxury bed or a simple $5,000 bed………..that’s Becks Style……………..I appreciate.

    After all what a human do in his/her life, he will sleep inside a grave. All what was collected would be transferred to other humans whom also will go to a grave. So; why don’t we use this money to make other poor people happy instead all rich people suck resources and make poor people more poor?

    If money wasn’t an issue, I’d probably get one too. I know how it is to sleep in a trashy bed. I haven’t gotten one good nights sleep in the last 4 or 5 years.
