Damien Hirst Is the Most Expensive Artist Alive

What a title artist Damien Hirst now has.  The most expensive artist alive is being named as Hirst, who sold his Lullaby Spring pill cabinet at Sotheby’s for $19.1 million.  Not too shabby, eh?

The title has also been held by American artist Jasper Johns as well as Willem de Kooning.  Let’s see how long Hirst can hold the title before someone else comes along & grabs it from him…
