Canon.jpgJapanese camera maker Canon announced today that they will now stop developing new  single-lens reflex cameras as everyone abandons film for digital.  The Tokyo-based company’s announcement comes recently after Japanese rival Nikon stated they would be concentrating more on digital models.

Canon will continue to make the film cameras currently on the market as lost as demand remains.  Japanese camera makers sold 64.77 million digital cameras last year, compared with only 5.38 million film cameras sold.

Well, I guess it all makes sense to go digital, but I still kinda like the purity of film.
