After you see Al Gore’s global warming film, An Inconvenient Truth, I’m sure you’ll want to grab this Global Warming Coffee Mug.
As you sip your morning coffee, or in my case morning rum with a bit of coffee, you can watch the earth change from normal to the earth covered in water through the effects of global warming. That’s how I love to start my day, fantasizing about the gloomy inevitabilities of modern day life. Cost, $15.

Madonna is living it up with her new single “Hung Up”. The singing sensation asked Chopard to make her a diamond necklace celebrating her new Confessions On A Dancefloor release.
The sparkly necklace is white gold with 1.95 carats of white diamonds. It has a gold chain of eight brilliants & like most Chopard pieces it features a mobile diamond. Madonna’s bling looks most familiar- maybe because it closely resembles Carrie’s Sex and the City bling bling necklace.

Well, you know how I feel about concept designs- they’re great, but come to me when they actually exist & can be purchased.
But I try to keep you on the cutting edge of it all & that’s why we’re starting off Thursday with the RKS-designed Bumpbrella umbrella. Never worry about bumping into another street walker or passerby.
The Bumpbrella is inflatable, see-through & rearing to be your fair-weather friend. Of course, this is still just a design on the concept level as of right now. So, until then try to stay bump-free.

To live & breath chess, you have to attain two different levels. First, you have to learn how all the pieces move & then you implement this knowledge & soar with the likes of Fischer & Kasparov.
This Chess Teacher from Miles Kimball is the perfect way to learn how to play chess for the first time. All the pieces are marked, with image instructions on how they are allowed to move.
A great set for, $18. Now if we can only get a Muppets version….

Say hello to your new friend, the LG LP4100. Not only does this new LG have a breath analyzer to detect your blood-alcohol levels, it also sports a very handy feature to stop all this 4AM drunk calling to & from your pals.
When you blow into the LG LP4100 & you have a blood-alcohol level of .08 or more, the cell phone displays an animation of a car swerving on a road & crashing into traffic cones. Actually, if I was drunk & saw this animation, I think I would feel like it was a good thing to try.
The new LG also has a feature where you can program the phone to not allow you to make those dreaded & sometimes easily forgotten 4AM drunk calls to all your pals.
No word as of yet on US premier, but I will most assuredly keep you updated. Especially since I feel Macgyver could make use of this handy new tool.

I couldn’t help this one. Apparently we now have the technology to change billboards based on the weather.
Check out this German Playboy billboard, Guys Pray for Rain. It’s kinda cute, I can’t help but snicker.

Say hello to the world’s first gold plated Porsche. The car is actually plated in leaf gold, not gold plate- making it much less impressive & expensive. But still highly entertaining & frivolous.
